Indian Sneaker Fest: Culture Hijack
From the campaign
On the decks at the festival.
A sneaker-wrapped Kaali Peeli and a meme-led Tyla moment took a niche festival mainstream.
Context
The Indian Sneaker Festival needed to break out of sneakerhead circles and into mainstream youth culture. The challenge was to make the festival feel pop-culturally loud, internet-native and unavoidable.
What we did
- Culture hijack — pulling global pop into a local conversation.
- Brought Tyla into the Indian sneaker conversation through a collaboration with Digital Snan.
- Used indirect, meme-led references instead of direct endorsement.
- Physical virality — turning the city into media.
- Wrapped a Kaali Peeli taxi in sneaker-inspired designs.
- Used everyday Mumbai culture as an unexpected sneaker canvas.
Impact
- Strong organic chatter, driven by surprise and curiosity.
- Sneakers positioned where fashion, music and street culture meet.
